Clara's Cowpat
WALT do coordinates. This week for maths we did a maths activity. We had to work out who got it right on the question. After we had written down everyone's answers we had to write down in the box what was the right answer, the name of the kid that got the right answer and we had write who was a square away from the write answer. I really enjoyed this because I learnt a new thing. I didn't enjoy this because this was confusing.

Reflection Week 8
What I have enjoyed this week is making fruit kebabs because I love fruit.
What I have learnt this week is what my nanna's name is.
What I have found difficult this week is making self-portraits of my family.
What I need to work on next week is to get better at understanding Māori.

Kepapa Huarākau - Fruit Kebabs
For Te Wiki o te Māori, we read (pānui) the pukapuka Kepapa Huarakāu. We then made our own kepapa Huarakāu using the instructions from the pukapuka.
This is how we made them...
First, we washed the grapes
Then we peeled the apples, peeled the kiwifruit, cut the bananas, cut the oranges, took the grapes apart
After we finished that we put all the fruit into bowls and the marshmallows
Then we got our barbeque sticks and put the fruit and marshmallows on it.
This is how we made them in Māori...
Reka ngā kepapa huarākau.
Anei ngā tohutohu.
Tuatahi horoia ngā kerepe.
Tuarua, tihoretia ngā āporo, ngā huakiwi...
... ngā panana me ngā āarani.
Tuatoru, tapahia ngā huarākau kia iti.
Tuawhā, werohia ngā huarākau me ngā rare kōpungapunga.

Visualising
WALT visualize. This week for literacy we had to do a Senses chart which is a chart and we have to write down what the person in the book is seeing, tasting, smelling, feeling and hearing. I really enjoyed this because we got to imagine what the person in the book is seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling and tasting. I disliked this because it was hard to think of interesting things to write down.
