Tokelau

For our T-Shaped literacy, we had to write a few sentences about a tiny country called Tokelau. Tokelau is a country that only uses renewable energy. They used to use diesel to make electricity but they stopped in 2012. This country is doing the right thing because they would burn fossil fuel and now they stopped to use a better and alternitave way.

5 Health Benifits of Exercise

Kia ora, Today our teacher and the class belows teacher challenged us, two classes, to make a quality blog post, caption, and 5 reasons why exercise is important. We only had 20 minutes to make one and a quality blog post.  My five reasons were that exercise can reduce your chance of getting heart diseases, increase your chances of living longer, improve your mental health, strengthen your bones and muscles, and it can improve your sleep. I found this activity really fun and informative because now I know that I need to exercise more to become an even more amazing person. Next time maybe I could improve and make it BTB this by having more time to work on it and adding more information and colour. I also hope this post makes people think about the amount of exercise they are getting into their daily life.

Don't forget your Solar Panels

For the past few weeks, Grace and I have been working on an energy song. It took us many tries to complete it, clearly. We thought this was really fun because singing is our main quality of life. By doing this, it made us understand the meaning of energy more clear to us. Hope you like our song!

Kaiteriteri

 Kaiteriteri

Kaiteriteri is located in the Tasman Region of the South Island. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday Kaiteriteri is just the place for you. Kaiteriteri is well known for its amazing beaches and tourist-filled activities. Summer is the best time to visit Kaiteriteri because there are many things to do on sunny days, such as kayaking, swimming, eating, fishing, boating, hiking, watching the sunset, and many more.

In the daytime, the water is always warm and refreshing for the perfect swim. The Kaiteriteri beach is always busy, especially on sunny summer days. If you ever find yourself looking through your bag and you see you forget to bring your togs there is no point whatsoever to even be in such a beautiful place known for its amazing beach. Kayak rides are really fun to go on in Kaiteriteri because the water is always so clear and warm, perfect for a quick dip in the water. Another amazing thing about being on holiday in Kaiteriteri is the hikes. You can walk for hours and you will never get bored of the beautiful nature and views on Kaiteriteri hikes.

Night times in Kaiteriteri are the best because there will always be an amazing sunset on sunny nights. Even though it's past daytime there are still many things to do like, roasting marshmallows, watching the sunset, nighttime walks, night swims, and way more.

When we came back to school one of our first activities was to write about somewhere we went in the summer holidays. I chose to write about Kaiteriteri because that was the furthest place I went to and it was also my favorite place. Our piece of writing had to be a descriptive piece of writing. I really enjoyed this because I find descriptive writing really fun.

Mobile about energy

For the last week, we have been learning about energy, and 1 out of the 5 activities that we had to do was to make a mobile about all the types of energy. Grace and I made one and put on it all the different types of energy and some little pictures of things that create energy. I found this really fun because we got to make a mobile out of sticks, strings, and cardboard. We put a lightning bolt and a windmill on our mobile.
