Valarie Adams

Champion shot putter Valerie Adams expecting second child, in April 2019 |  Stuff.co.nz Valarie Adams is a four-time world champion shot putter. She is a New Zealand Olympic athlete. She was born in Rotorua, New Zealand. She has a personal best throw of 21.24 metres outdoors, and 20.54m indoors. Valarie Adams has been a shotputter since 2006 when she was 22. 

Her height is 1.93m and she is 36 years old. She has 1 kid, who is 3 years old. She gave birth to Kimoana when she was 33. Valarie Adams has 3 siblings, Steven Adams, who is a famous basketball player, Lisa Adams who is also a shot putter, and Warren Adams. At the national level, she has won 15 shot put titles at New Zealand Athletics championships between 2001 and 2018, as well as having a hammer throw national title in 2003. From 2006 to 2012 she was chosen as the New Zealand Sportswomen of the year seven times.
