Treaty of Waitangi

For the past few weeks, we have been working on our Treaty of Waitangi slides. What we did was we had to write quite a lot of information about the Treaty of Waitangi. It took a really long time because it was difficult to find information from our research because barely nothing on what I needed came upon the treaty. Although it was really fun because now I know more about the treaty of Waitangi. Next time how I could improve is to maybe put more

My Family Te Reo Maori

Today we wrote our family in Te Reo Maori for Te Reo Maori. What I enjoyed about this activity is that we got to do a video with it as well as writing our family's names. What I found challenging was to put the video on the slide.

WALT say what we wan in Te Reo. Today for Te Reo Maori we had to write what we wanted for Christmas but in Maori. I enjoyed this activity because I actually got to write what I wanted for Christmas because I haven't done it yet. This is what I want for Christmas, try to find out what these all mean.

Today we had to find the Maori word for and object and put it into a sentence. We had to describe it.
I enjoyed it because I got to learn what Rainbow and Drink bottle meant in Te Reo Maori. What I found difficult was to get macarons on some of the letters and typing in the Maori words.

Kepapa Huarākau - Fruit Kebabs

For Te Wiki o te Māori, we read (pānui) the pukapuka Kepapa Huarakāu. We then made our own kepapa Huarakāu using the instructions from the pukapuka. 

This is how we made them...
First, we washed the grapes
Then we peeled the apples, peeled the kiwifruit, cut the bananas, cut the oranges, took the grapes apart
After we finished that we put all the fruit into bowls and the marshmallows
Then we got our barbeque sticks and put the fruit and marshmallows on it.

This is how we made them in Māori...
Reka ngā kepapa huarākau.
 Anei ngā tohutohu.
Tuatahi horoia ngā kerepe.
Tuarua, tihoretia ngā āporo, ngā huakiwi...
... ngā panana me ngā āarani.
Tuatoru, tapahia ngā huarākau kia iti.
