Why I think kids shouldn't be able to chew gum at school and why I think they should

THEY SHOULDN'T BECAUSE...

1. Kids shouldn't chew gum at school because basically all the time it ends up under the tables!!!!!!! Which leads to kids sticking their fingers in gum!

2.  It could lead to choking hazards!

3. It disturbs people because you are chewing like a horse.

4. You can get it in people's hair!!

5. It can be very non-Hygenic!!!!!!!!

WHY THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO...

1. It can entertain people when they are bored

2. It tastes good!

3. It helps your breath smell good.

4. It will help people shut up and not interrupting the teachers

Converting Measurements

This week one of our maths that we had to do was convert measurements. We had to convert all of the litres and ml.  I found this activity hard because this was the first time I have ever done this in my life! Maybe next time to make this BTB (Better than before) I could maybe check if they are right before I post this.

Celebrating Puanga at Ramanui

Today the book we had to read was Celebrating Puanga at Ramanui. Once we had finished reading our book we had to go onto this google drawing and answer all of the questions that it asked then we had to explain next to all of the pictures what they were doing in them. I found this sort of challenging because some of the question s were a bit hard.

Exploring Biomes

For the past few weeks, we have been working on ecosystems. Today we are exploring Biomes, we had to fill out all the different facts about all the different Biomes. I found this challenging because there were quite a few different types of them. But I found this really fun because I didn't know what biomes were until I did this and watches the biome video.

Area of irreglular shapes

Today for maths we had to fill out an activity area of irregular shapes. We had to work out what all the shapes equal. I found this activity challenging because it took a while to figure out how to work out. This was quite fun and interesting because now I know how to work out area of irregular shapes. Maybe next time I could improve by putting on the google drawing how I worked them all out.

Design your own ecosystem

For the past few weeks we have been working on ecosystems. Today we had to design our own ecosystem and build it how ever you want I chose to make my ecosystem:Amazon rainforest and I tried to add as many things as I could. I found this challenging because I had to use lots of different things to make my ecosystem. I found this really fun because I really like making things and creating things. Maybe next time I could improve by adding a lot more things and adding more colours.

Changes in ecosystems

For the past few weeks, we have been focusing on ecosystems. Also for or the past few days, we have been working on ocean ecosystems. Today we had to explain how people affect the ocean by littering. I found this challenging because I didn't really get what the questions meant at first but then I got it. Next time I could make it better by putting maybe a bit more information.

Design an Aquatic creature

This week we have been working on ecosystems and each day we move a step up. For today and yesterday, we have been working on aquatic ecosystems. Today we had to make up our own Aquatic sea creature and write down in the next box why our creature suits its ecosystem. I found this activity challenging because I found coming up with an aquatic sea creature was hard. I came up with a Quatsaspike if you want to learn more about it read what's in the box above.

Comparing Aquatic ecosystems

This week for literacy we have been focusing on ecosystems. Today we are looking at aquatic ecosystems. We had to compare the different zones of the aquatic ecosystems. I found this really fun because we got to watch a video explaining to us more about the aquatic ecosystems which made it a whole lot easier to explain the aquatic ecosystems.

Factors to 100

This week for maths we have been working on factors in numbers. Today we had to write down all the factors to these numbers. I found this challenging for the larger numbers because I'm not the best at some of my times tables. Although it was quite fun.

Possum problem

This week we have been working on ecosystems. Today’s ecosystem activity is a possum habitat, we had to draw or make an example of what a possums habitat looks like. Also we had to answer and explain how they got here in New Zealand and the back story. I found this pretty easy because I know a lot about possums kinda and reading the book first made it a whole lot easier!

Clara’s ecosystem

This week’s subject for literacy is Ecosystems. For today’s ecosystem activity we had to draw and label our own ecosystem. This was pretty challenging for me because drawing all of the things in my ecosystem took a while and a lot of effort to draw. I found this a bit easier because I did a brain storm with my dad before we made the poster. Maybe next time I could improve by adding a bit more colours to every thing.

Squaring numbers

Today our teacher gave us this amazing piece of work to do. We basically had to times the number by its self so I found that really easy to do. I found this really easy to do because it was just easy. Maybe next time I could improve by writing down how I solved the answers out.

Ecosystem Vocab

Today one of out literacy activities was to complete this slide Vocabulary list for ecosystems. We had to explain what all of these words meant and we had to take a picture of where we might find one around our house. I think this was a really fun activity and It was kind of like I scavenger hunt with my dad. We ran around our house and outside our house to find things to take pictures of. This was pretty challenging for me because trying to find explanations to the words was pretty hard although my dad did help a bit. Next time I could improve by maybe explaining what the pictures were of because I'm not sure you can tell what some of them are.
