This week one of our tasks is to complete a slide that has events linked to Chinese New year and to explain what the events are all about. I chose three very important events: The Red Envelopes, The Dragon dance, and the lantern parades. I found this really challenging because I don't know a lot about the Chinese new year but I got to learn more about it which was good.
Great work Clara! You have clearly done your research and found out some interesting facts. Do you know the story of the Nian? It is a spirit monster that the Chinese believe used to come and attack them but it was afraid of fireworks and the colour red.
